Beta-Marketplace-Access for Indie Developers
Professional users and companies should wait for a more stable release, check out the
Roadmap for details.
Remember: The Delta Engine is Open Source software and can be used and modified freely on Windows without any costs. You only need a Marketplace account to be able to deploy your game or application on other platforms (currently Windows Phone 7, iPhone, iPad, Android, Tablets, in the future more like MacOS, Linux, Web, Windows 8 Metro, Xbox 360, etc.).
- Currently a Indie-License is priced at 20$/month per seat. Early adopters (v0.9.5 and earlier) can join at 10$/month (which is just 7.40 Euro/month btw).
- There will be bugs and issues! v0.9.5 is still a beta and while things usually work out nicely, some features might not be supported yet. You can either add features yourself or wait until they are implemented (check the Forum).
- This Indie-License will only cover the current feature set of the beta (see Downloads and Roadmap). It does NOT include any commercial framework, which might be required for your project. Currently the only way to deploy for iOS or Android is via the Mono Framework, which is a commercial product sold by Xamarin. Each user building for iOS or Android will need a Xamarin license in order to use the Launcher to build for iOS or Android. We don't have any influence on the pricing of Xamarin and we are currently not allowed to resell licenses, so each user must acquire a Xamarin license on his own (it is required to enter a unique license key in each project per user, else the build server will not allow building for iOS or Android, see Launcher)! Each user has to decide which Xamarin license is right for him, all of them work with the Delta Engine. In fact we don't support any Xamarin feature right now and the user cannot debug code or use MonoDevelop with Delta Engine code at all on a Mac. Please use Xamarin directly if you need that kind of support.
- A fully automated payment system and monthly subscriptions with a free 30-day trial is planed for Q2 (or if we have more subscribers).
- We also support Open Source Projects, if you plan to submit your code and assets as a public project in the Delta Engine, we will give you a Multiplatform Marketplace license for free (you still need to make sure you have access to all required frameworks and libraries obviously, like Xamarin). Contact us in the Forum or via Email to submit your project for evaluation (you must have created a public project first and have at least worked on it for a month or have at least 5k lines of code).

If you still want to buy a Indie Marketplace Account already you will need a
PayPal Account Email and a
Delta Engine Account. Send both to
Marketplace@DeltaEngine.net and we will send you a payment request. Once the payment is made your account will be upgraded and you can proceed building for other platforms (Note: A Marketplace Account does NOT include a Xamarin MonoTouch or Mono for Android license, in order to build for iOS or Android you still need those Xamarin licenses). Detailed instructions can be found on the
Launcher Wiki Page.
